10 Cat Breeds With Spots

Every cat is a beautiful creature, but the dotted feline is a much more rare sight to appreciate. A few only come in a spotted pattern, while others have various designs that also include dots.

If you’re interested in which feline classes tend to be polka-dotted, we’ve created a list of ten dotted kitties just for you.

1. American Bobtail

The breed appears in nearly all patterns and colors, including a spotted tabby design. However, these felines are more famous for their tail (or lack thereof).

The Bobtail has received their name because of their different short tail, which can swing or is kept straight to show their various moods. The cat isn’t recognized for being talkative, but you’ll catch their chirping and trilling in addition to the particular meowing.

They are brilliant felines and get friendly with all in the house, including the dog. Bobtails are active occasionally, but they like couch potato times.

2. Bengal Cat

Bengals come in various colors but are famous for their jaguar/leopard style spotting. A few Bengals also possess unique marbling. The Asian leopard and domesticated cats’ intercrossing provided us with the Bengal we witness today.

Bengals are faithful, curious, and loving felines that are family-inclined. They are lap kitties but like an excellent playing session and enjoy climbing up to large sites.

They do great with company, so if you stay out a lot, you need to ensure your cat has a friend in the form of another cat or a small dog.

3. California Spangled

The breed was developed in California in the 1980s with a mixture of species, including Angora, American Shorthair, Manx, Abyssinian, British Shorthair, Siamese, and street cats from Malaysia and Egypt.

They were specially developed to seem like dotted wild cats to make humans think again before buying fur coats obtained from unique cats like the leopard.

The cats might seem small wild cats, but they are incredibly kind, loving, and dedicated pets. They’re also very active and playful but would favor not being kept alone for extended periods.

4. Egyptian Mau

The Egyptian Mau is a lovely looking feline with a dotted coat that is naturally happening. Their back legs are longer than their forward legs, which offer them a much elegant look. Those back legs also enable them to jump and run rapidly than most other felines at fast bursts of pace.

Despite their sporting skills, they are pretty friendly and kind felines who tend to be careful of anyone, not a member of their family. They are also familiar with kids and other pets but are a bit afraid of unexpected heavy sounds and events.

5. Ocicat

The Ocicat is a beautiful dotted kitty that appears in colors from blue to chocolate. While their spots may get them to seem strange, they are truly adorable and house pets through and through.

They are lap felines that are also pretty active and like lots of playtime and even appreciate a great fetch play. The cats are brilliant and will need as much of your consideration as they can receive. They are pretty fine with all, even guests, puppies and other cats.

6. Cheetoh

If you love dots, then you will prefer the Cheetoh breed. This more modern hybrid cat class was formed from crossbreeding an Ocicat with the Bengal cat in an effort to produce a kind but wild-looking cat.

This breed is a large-bodied feline but is known to get friendly with other pets and humans. The cheetoh is not as popular as the Savannah or Bengal but is expanding in reputation due to its attractive patterns.

These dotted felines look like a great ball of mischief, charm, and love for the accurate family.

7. Oriental Shorthair

These cat breeds are an outcome of the Siamese breed family and appear in various patterns and colors, including spots. Their long ears, necks, and bodies offer them a beautiful and classic look.

The Oriental Shorthair is chatty like their Siamese breed and makes a powerful bond with their family. They enjoy much kindness and consideration and will like a great cuddle on your lap. But this cat becomes rather mischievous if kept alone for significant periods.

8. Pixie Bob

The Pixie Bob cat breed (or Pixie-bob) is often brown in color but varies from a reddish-brown to a dark brown with spots.

They are usually polydactyl (5 toes on their forepaws and 4 on their back paws), and their tails are typically smaller than 2 inches. They possess double coats and can be either longhair or shorthair and lynx-tufts on the tops of their ears.

This cat breed has been compared to puppies due to their intense devotion to their families, including kids and other pets. They are active but calm in nature and generally laid back, and particularly desire to spend lots of time with you.

9. Savannah

The Savannah cat breed appears in the official colors of brown, silver, black, and black smoke, each with dots resembling their African serval ancestor. They manage to be very beautiful with large legs and slim figures.

Be ready for a ton of power and exercise if you go for this cat breed, as they can be pretty naughty thanks to their knowledge and curiosity. The Savannah are not a lapped cat breed, for as much as they like their groups and being friendly to them, they favour their own time.

10. Serengeti

This cat breed appears in various colors and can be lined like a tabby but is usually spotted.

They are like the Savannah cat breed in that they were developed to mirror the African serval, but the Serval and Savannah are not linked in every way. The Serengeti cat breed was formed by crossbreeding the Oriental Shorthairs and Bengal cat.

These breeds are very kind and get friendly with anyone, including other pets. The Serengeti are also highly energetic, and they can be pretty chatty thanks to the Oriental Shorthair backdrop.

This feline will need much playtime and activity and are highly loyal to their families.
